How to Tame Foxes in Minecraft

Foxes are adorable creatures that can be found in taiga biomes, and with the right approach, can be tamed and made into loyal companions. In this blog post, we’ll go over the steps you need to take to tame foxes in Minecraft and provide some tips and tricks to make the process easier. So grab your sweet berries and let’s get started! 

Here are the steps to tame a fox in Minecraft:

• Find a group of foxes in a taiga biome.

In Minecraft, foxes can be found in taiga biomes. There are several types of taiga biomes where foxes can spawn, including the regular taiga, giant tree taiga, and snowy taiga. These biomes can be identified by their dense spruce forests, ferns, and patches of sweet berry bushes. The taiga biome is a colder counterpart to normal forests, sporting darker grass and large boulders made out of both normal and mossy cobblestone half-buried in the ground. 

• Procure / Get some sweet berries or glow berries and a lead.

In Minecraft, sweet berries can be found in taiga biomes, where they grow on sweet berry bushes. You can harvest the berries by right-clicking or breaking the bush. Glow berries can be found growing on cave vines in lush caves or in mineshaft chests. To grow your own glow berries, place a glow berry on the underside of a block and it will grow into a cave vine that extends downwards. Cave vines have a 1 in 9 chance of producing glow berries, but using bonemeal will guarantee a yield.

To obtain a lead, you can either craft one using four string and one slimeball or find one in village chests, igloo chests, or stronghold libraries. You can also obtain a lead by killing a wandering trader or by breaking the lead connection between a wandering trader and its llamas. 

• Feed two of the foxes with berries to make them enter love mode and produce a baby fox.

• Attach a lead to the baby fox and take it away from its parents.

• Wait for the baby fox to grow up and it will trust you .
