For example, in the “Normal” mode, the monster became angry when its health reached 75%, while in "Insane+" it would activate at 75%, 60%, 45%, 30%, and 15%. When the monster became enraged, it ignored buildings and targeted players exclusively, increasing its speed by 100% and unleashing devastating attacks. The anger phase added intensity to the battle as players had to dodge and counter the monster’s aggressive moves.

Chomp, Leap, and Spin were the monster's core abilities:

  • Chomp: In normal mode, it chewed away at nearby buildings every 0.4 seconds, dealing significant damage. In its anger phase, the chomp attack also damaged Brawlers.
  • Leap: The monster would leap to catch up to Brawlers or buildings, dealing 1000 damage with a knockback effect. This ability was particularly deadly as it had an 11-tile range and a fast wind-up time of 1.5 seconds.
  • Spin: When overwhelmed, the monster performed a spinning attack that stunned all nearby Brawlers for 2 seconds in a 3.33 tile radius. Though the attack dealt no damage, the stun left Brawlers vulnerable to further attacks.

As players advanced in the difficulty levels, the monster gained more health, and its abilities became more destructive, making it even harder to protect the city.

Super City Rampage and Brawlers: Strategies for Success

In order to defeat the giant Kaiju, players had to pick Brawlers with powerful abilities and synergy. The best Brawlers for Super City Rampage included:

  • Max: With high speed and fast movement, Max was essential for dodging the monster’s attacks.
  • Bo: His mines and long-range attacks allowed players to damage the monster from a distance while setting up traps.
  • Pam: A healing-focused Brawler, Pam provided crucial support, keeping her team alive during the most intense phases.
  • Rico: With his bouncing projectiles, Rico could deal consistent damage while staying at a safe distance.
  • Spike: Known for his slowing effect and high damage, Spike was great for controlling the monster’s movement.
  • Gale: His crowd control abilities made him effective in keeping the monster at bay.
  • 8-Bit: His damage amplifier boosted the team's overall firepower, making quick work of the monster in tight situations.
